Danny Sinclair startte zijn muzikale loopbaan bij een Gents rock-groepje,
The Fellows (later The Black Fellows) als lead-zanger gitarist. Nadien werd
de naam veranderd (omdat ze aan een andere image toe waren) in New Inspiration
en dan was het hek van de dam.
Ze maakten enkele singles (meestal geschreven
door Danny) en raakten meteen in de top-tien met "You made a fool of
me". Later volgden nog een tiental andere singles en drie LP's met
o.a. "Mr. Moody", "I see no reason why", "Happy
Charly Madman" enz...
Toen de groep splitte ging Danny solo werken
en kwam al vlug in het circuit van de big-bands terecht. Hij toerde drie
seizoenen rond met "Gaston & Leo" en speelde twee seizoenen
in "Jezus Christ Superstar" van het "Koninklijk Ballet van
Vlaanderen". De cover "Stay Awhile" die hij op single zette
deed het uitstekend in de dancings.
Hij stichtte ondertussen ook "Variété
in Vlaanderen", een groep die vooral tijdens de Gentse Feesten aktief
was. Daar begon hij ook toneel te spelen waarna verschillende gezelschappen
ook op hem beroep gingen doen als akteur (o.a. De Drie Charels - Taptoe
...).
Hij schreef ondertussen verder muziek vooral voor kortfilms en spektakels.
Zo bracht hij in '94 een CD uit "Yanosch" met de muziek van een
gelijknamig openluchtspektakel. Hij zong twee nummers op een CD samen met
Veerle Van De Poel en David Davidse ("Sun and Moon" uit Miss Saigon
en "Sunset Boulevard" uit de gelijknamige Musical).
Momenteel
bereidt hij een nieuwe CD voor. (Maart '96).

Danny Sinclair started his musical carrier with a rock-band in Ghent, The Fellows
(later The Black Fellows) as lead-singer guitarist. Later the name was
changed (because they wanted to change image) to the 'New Inspiration' and it
went at F1 speed from thereon.
They made a few singles (mostly written by Danny) and
immediately hit the top-ten with "You made a fool of me". Later
another dozen singles and three LP's followed with e.g. "Mr. Moody",
"I see no reason why", "Happy Charly Madman" etc...
After the group's split Danny started working solo and quickly entered the
circuit of the big-bands. He worked three seasons with "Gaston &
Leo" (the Flanders' most famous comedians) and performed two seasons
in "Jezus Christ Superstar" with the "Koninklijk Ballet van
Vlaanderen". The cover "Stay Awhile" released on a single
did it excellent in the dancings.
He also founded "Variété
in Vlaanderen", a group mainly active during the "Gentse Feesten"
. There he started playing comedy and from then on more theater groups asked
him to join the group as an actors ("De Drie Charels" - "Taptoe"
...).
In the meantime he continued writing songs specially for short movies
and spectacles. In '94 he released a CD "Yanosch" with the music
of a open air theater performance of the same name. He recorded two songs
released on a CD together with Veerle Van De Poel and David Davidse ("Sun
and Moon" from Miss Saigon and "Sunset Boulevard" from the
Musical with the same title).
For the moment he is preparing a new CD. (March
'96).
